I'm 6'1" so am not considered tall. But I hear you on being VERY AWARE of "blocking the view" so am constantly checking behind me at concerts. Good thing I'm not 6'4" or I'd be a total emotional mess.

Yeah I always checked now. Actually, a lady thanked me recently for checking and moving. That felt nice lol.

Really enjoyed this essay. You benefit from having big bones and a nice solid construction. While I'm 6'0", I grew my last 6" in one sudden spurt, and sometimes I feel a little too tall. It takes extra work to avoid slouching, and as I hold heavy things I can feel my long bird bones straining. When I was a kid, doctors said I'd be 5' 8". My mother attributes my growth spurt to the power of (her) prayer. Regardless of how it happened, I'm grateful.

Ah, a true late bloomer. Nature's surprise! Late bloomers have a special edge to them because they were underestimated as youngsters. Perfect mix of confidence and humility. A rare breed, indeed.
